So, there we were, me and my better half, Pam, snugly ensconced in our 40′ roaming homestead. The soft scuffle of Grover and Niles, our cherished pugs, added to the warm ambiance. It was during one of these usual evenings that Pam cast her eyes around and mused, “You know, I've been mulling over this.” She gestured to the Thomas Payne RV furniture we'd gotten along with our 5th wheel and continued, “It's top-notch furniture, but it's just not us.” As I sat there, taking in the imposing sleeper sofa and two chunky recliners that had laid claim to much of our living space, I found myself nodding in agreement. The time had indeed come for a change; an RV furniture makeover was clearly on the horizon.<\/p>

A few weeks later, Pam and I found ourselves immersed in the vast universe of Amazon, browsing through endless furniture options with the enthusiasm of kids embarking on a new project. The more we explored, the more exhilarating it became. The prospect of ditching the old and welcoming the new was simply invigorating.<\/p>

The task of removing the original Thomas Payne furniture was somewhat daunting but thank heavens for the rear sliding patio door. It made the entire process less strenuous than it could have been through the main door. And the icing on the cake? We found a single buyer for all our old furniture! Yes, you heard it right. We managed to sell all our erstwhile furniture, and the proceeds covered the cost of our new additions.<\/p>

And Niles, our second little furball? Well, he's found his ultimate happy place in Pam's lap. I'm showing him in my lap along with Grover for our morning time together. It's moments like these that make this entire endeavor worth it.<\/p>

This RV furniture replacement escapade has taken about 300 pounds off our travel weight. So, our home doesn't just look and feel better; it's also lighter. Our humble abode feels more personal, more us, more like a ‘home.'<\/p>
