Hello and Welcome,
We're Jim & Pam Patrick and we've begun living the full-time RV lifestyle after several years of summer vacation travels and then campground hosting for the last seven years. Today we are here to encourage you to follow your dreams like we are.
I can't stress enough how much that simple statement means to Pam and I. We've talked for years about wanting to live full-time in our RV but my work locks me into my current location. Update: I'll also be working remotely from the RV in Arizona this winter before we return to Iowa in the spring. Dreams really do come true.
We started 7 years ago by landing a local seasonal campground hosting job that has allowed us to make hundreds of new friends, but more importantly, to begin testing our full-time RV living fortitude. To date we've lived the equivalent of 4 years in our RVs.
So, trusting in fate, 5 years ago Pam decided to switch careers and took her receptionist skills to an insurance agency. Within 2 months she had 2 different insurance licenses.
Fast forward to 2020 and she began working remotely. When her company decided that everyone should return to the office, she found a national company that would let her continue to work remotely.
In March of 2023 she joined a different company that not only embraces that her skill set is worth having her work remotely, but today, I'm proud to say my wife earns more base pay than I do, and she's doing it her way. Working full time from the RV where she can enjoy lunch breaks in nature with our dogs.
Insider tip: Pam is familiar with every major insurance company in the country and has access to most of them to quote insurance. So, if you're having trouble finding affordable RV insurance, you might want to reach out to her for guidance.
